I didn't sell the Ground Controls. I traded them for an '89 325i. I have a job to take care of the money issue. :roll:

For my car and what I use it for, coilovers are not an ideal setup. I'm daily driving the car on the north side of Charlotte, where the roads don't get along with linear rates. These M3 springs do fine, I've stretched the car out considerably in the last two days, and am getting a feel for the new, very comfortable suspension. I know I will really enjoy not getting my 318 pounded over every bump in the road.

Most people do want GC's, yes. Most people want anything but stock suspension on an E30. Anything to get rid of that fender gap, right? I've driven my 318 on multiple spring setups (stock, RD, J-stock, H&R, GC) and am familiar enough with the car that I don't need a race suspension setup to drive the car spiritedly.

Didn't mean anything, just trying to figure out why you'd get rid of them. Sure, GC's can be a pain around town, on rough roads esp., even waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles spring rates. But then again, I have other plans to solve that (a softer, less maintence-intense, more-fuel-effiecent car)

Personally I think the swap was stupid. If you want a stock look, just raise your damn ride height...I mean, why else did you get GCs?

Why on earth get rid of the GC's, why not just get softer spring rates if it's too much car for you, atleast you still get the adjustability.

I didn't go back to stock suspension to make the car appear slower. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I don't take my car to the track everyday (havn't yet, will be this Fall), therefore, I don't need a suspension that will make the car stick every corner (assuming its smooth pavement :D).

Again, you don't know what direction I'm taking with my E30, and what springs I run really shouldn't be a big deal to you. I did not install the higher springs to make the car appear more 'sleeper,' I suppose you took Robs quote the wrong way.

how are HRs compared to eibach pros? I think the eibachs are ok but they sat down too far with the m50 and they are rated for the 325.

Kyle, Not too sure about the stiffness. I havn't run Eibach Pro's on mine. Alex ran them on his black 325, and it sat pretty low in the front as well.

Bone stock 318is college beater for me :D Seriously, the roads around this side of the city suck ass. Massive construction bumps everywhere. Although the lack of an S50 or power for that matter makes the 318 not the most exciting car with stock suspension.
