The original 2-door tourings were built by an aftermarket company. Kind of like a limo company; they get the car from the factory and do their work to it.

They made some cool E28 tourings as well.

the 8 that were built were made by a dutch company i believe and they are amazing, i think this one and another white one i have seen were produced. There has to be more then just a few. The 8 everyone are talking about are the base ones built like an Alpina car.

Please share with us your definition of "amazing"? That thing looks like something built in East Germany to mock BMW.

see the link to the BF.c thread about 3 posts above this one. Those things look tits. They were built by a dutch company i think and they only made 6. Otherwise i think the 2 door Tourings are awesome and i wish more were made.

Just felt like whoring mine.

So somewhere I read that one of the original engineers for the e30 had wanted to buy an e30 but his wife wouldn't let him becasue it wasn't a wagon and she has a baby on the way. Apparently in a few weeks time he made this wagon from pre-TUV'd parts to satisfy his wife's desires.. And shortly thereafter was born the BMW 3 series touring by BMW gmbh. It's in a book somewhere at home (us&a) The factory parts hauler was the e30 m3 pick-up truck with the eta powerplant.
