    new e30 projects - 56k exploder

Just brought these home today - 1987 325is, and 1988 325is. Both are autotragics, both are zinnoberrot, both need attention everywhere, neither run.

The '87 popped up on ebay and it was local. It was previously a Texas car so it has no rust. Regardless, it's in very rough shape and needs a complete overhaul. If everything goes as planned, it will get new paint, new interior, and receive a 2.7i and manual tranny from my old car.

In the ad, the guy said he had an "identical" 88 iS if the buyer wanted it. We ended up getting that one, too. The body has more rust, it was painted some crappy burgandy color, and it has an eta cluster and 153 ecu . This one i'm feeling is going to be the sort of challenge that is not fun.

88 in front. at least it has some decent weaves and tires. But, no sports seats???

the 87 was repainted very poorly and sports some ultra stylish chrome fender trim and bling wheels. The 88 was simply painted black between the taillights.

88 with eta cluster... this makes my head hurt. i wish i had been there with my dad and bro when they went to look at these cars. They bought them on the spot thinking that these cars were in awesome shape. :???:

88 bay. i'm kind lost on what those hoses are doing.

    the 88 key

But, it has a map light mirror!

i need a new one of these. they have em at NAPA, right?

The '87 interior is scary. dash and everything is roached. Carpet in both cars needs replacing. Oh, and worst recovering job on sport seats ever.

    help

some messed up valence shit going on with both cars.

Wish me luck! I'm going to need it.

No, s3.73. The '88 has a 2/88 production. For my 2.7i, i want to run a s2.93 actually. That's one of the parts i regret selling off my 325es. I may also consider running a 3.25.

I'm just really excited about getting some body work done and having a new shell to start rebuilding with new parts! I'm anxious to start putting together the appearance package for the '87 but i don't want to get ahead of myself.

I like to see cars with potential brought back to life instead of seeing them parted for a few bucks.

                            good luck!

Two more saved from the crusher.

You have a LOT of work to do.
