Why did I buy the iX?

I knew there was a reason for that! On the way to Tahoe this past week.... She's been put on stock basket weaves for the winter and I must say, looking much better.

You got any pics of the car clean? I'm building an ACS car and haven't seen a lot of pics of them out there. I'd be interested to see yours.

The ix has 3 LSDs right? I imagine its better then damn near everything out there. Even our jeep gets stuck with its fucking open diffs

Nice snow banks! When they are that big you can fold in the mirrors and rally the ix.

Lockers aren't a real great idea in frozen conditions, I do far better leaving my 'Cruiser diffs open - lets the AWD work like it wants to - wheelspin is controlled by the brakes.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Hey all. Thanks for the kind words. This was the second time this season I've taken her in the snow and I must admit I was impressed. I've driven subarus up until this point and this thing handled just as well. Of course there were the requisite parking lot power slides, and even a few patches of black ice that were easily handled. I'm on all seasons and can't really imagine what this car would do with full snows on it.

KingB, the wind deflector is the Thule 871XT. Not as cool as the old school deflectors, but is easier to attach and doesn't look half bad.

Dillsnick, no inside shots but will work on that at some point.

Darkwing, here's some more pics of the car when its clean.
