I think he means that it didn't work out this time. Its not as vivid as an HDR image should be. Its all about practice. I haven't gotten one good result when attempting HDR and i haven't posted them because of that. I would point you to photography-on-the.net. There are a lot of professionals on that site that can give you constructive criticism and pointers that will be a big help.

these were only 3 exposures since that's all the D80s bracketing does. I'll have to fuck with it later. and yes jesse, my car is dirty. :p

I kinda dig the tucked diving boards.

as far as the car being dirty, I was going to wash it this week, but I'm really glad I didnt. It rained quite a bit the last couple days

                    Eh, to each his own...

I did the tucked DB thing on my 533i and hated it after about a year. My 535is has full on DBs and I like it.

                    Just don't get rear ended!

HDR does not mean "cartoon like vivid details". That is just taking HDR to the extreme.

THIS shot is also an 'HDR' from 3 images. No other way to get all the shadow/highlight detail with a single shot with the lighting and being behind a tall building. No one would say "OMG NICE HDR" ;)

Could have even used 5 shots... -2/-1/0/+1/+2

That is just one of those photos that make people who use HDR as a tool mad. That shot could have been properly exposed in ONE single exposure. Instead someone made it look like a cartoon in photoshop with HDR. And the worst part... it supposedly is white.
