because newbies to HDR make everything "glow", and they think its sweet. me, it hurts my eyes to look at. ive done my fair share, and not to toot my own horn. but i've finally figured out how to do it, and most people would never guess.
heres an example of what i mean.



notice there is no "glow"? if you are using photomatix. when you go to tonemap the images. increase the blacks and whites a bit, and lower the gamma. you will lose some detail, its inevitable. but in doing so, you will gaim much more in the aspect of realism.
just a tip. take it how you like. i just am sick to death of "hdr's" that make shit look like cartoons.
