    skils IS (big crappy pics)

I've been a reader of the board for awhile and thought I'd throw up some pics of my car. I know it needs a bit of work but I'm more a "function over form" kinda guy. I plan on storing / working on it over winter and tracking next year. Not-to-distant future mods will be a 5-spd trans, rims, cage, turbo, strut/sways.. Paint job and rust removal hopefully in short order also. (16 chicago winters suck daily drivens..)

Drop is cup kit. Needs a front lip, lose the diving boards (front is tucked), grill for air filter hole, new muffler that fits the opening so that i can be centered.. and my cell phone takes better pictures :P any comments welcome.

Kit came with the car, sideskirts are Zenders, I believe the rear is also. Why do people call it an automagic btw? There's nothing magic about my trans

Yeah, I heard that about 20 times the day after I gutted the interior. Halfway done with the sheetmetal door panels. I'm probably going to weld a whole diamondplate floor pan into the thing... there are 2 quarter size *holes* in the footwells that I can see asphalt through. Yeah, and "is it really worth it?" has crossed my mind several times.

Not sure yet, haven't really scoped any of them out yet..when I'm more race-ready I'll start looking.

Looks so much better with the front tucked..I painted the top of the rear bumper black to hide it a little, I have something custom in mind for both though.

                        Put your headlight back in.
Aww come on Jordan, I can really feel the extra .0004 hp from the additional airflow. But seriously, at first I thought it would look the car look meaner, but not so much now. :? I'll put the black elipses in when the turbo goes in though.

Thanks for your compliments and comments everyone :D I'll keep you all posted.. and get a better digital and shooting skills :P

                          **cough, cough** poseur.

You should really check the rules before you really get into modding so you can choose a class to mod your car into.

Would be funny to see the new guy show up in the FUHRAZE car.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about it yet.. 'sides I know what general things I can and can't do from a couple of my scca friends. What group are you a part of? You should do something about that cold.

                              It's not a cold. Syphilis

SCCA. I'm going to take part next summer with them.

BMWCCA usually hosts Auto-X, but didn't get organized this summer. And our chapter always was just for recreation, without classes. But WindyCity (Chicago) has pretty strict class points system.....so I would be in competition with E36 M3s or even new ones.

I found out that my changing injectors to larger ones determined what class I would run in.
A lot of things could play a factor depending where you aim.

I want to lose a few pounds, but I want to keep everything the way it is, so I wouldn't be the novice without an interior........maybe when there is some experience under my belt, maybe.
