I didn't take any pics in progress. But if you look at Josh's writeup, I cut the new valence at the same location where he did. Rather than weld the top edge, I used a number of screws about 1" below the cut line. The old sheet metal and new valence are tight against one another and the short screws create a strong joint.

I put screws through the upper tab instead of welding.

This pic shows Josh using a screw to hold the valence in place before welding. I just used more screws.

If the bumpers are nice, and not seriously oxidized...They're a lot easier to live with. Especially, like you said, when it's on a black car...Black shrouds on Black car don't stick out as much.

Enkei wheels are packed and ready to be shipped. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days of my new/temporary wheels until the esm's eventually arrive (maybe they are my new/permanent wheels) :P

Slightly non-related question: How is life without your spring pads? I'm poor and looking to free my '87is (which has yet to be introduced) from its four-wheeler status.

yeah, won't do much on stock springs. I didn't notice any squeaks or any such problems.

Looks sweet. I agree with your decision to stay away from plastic bumpers. Euro bumps would look way better.

Fack. I guess it was a retarded hope. Sigh for lack of shortcuts.
