Actually...you need a 540it before you wan to start your M5 Touring project...528's front end is likely not capable of the added weight from the M62...but I would try with my Touring too...if one of these puppies fell in my lap, along with a trunk full of cash!

The weight difference shouldn't be that much from an M52 to S62, I'd guess less than 100 lbs. The 528i/T has an aluminum front subframe and it also has rack and pinion steering, it would be cool to make rack and pinion work with the S62.

I have a friend in Atlanta who did the same thing to his E39iT, I haven't seen the car yet, but apparently it is his Home depot hauler. :D
