      Been there, done that.

My dad had a CJ5 w/a 350 in it... shit could climb walls.

Did the same thing w/a '77 Land Cruiser.

So your at 7-8" of lift on fixed lca and stock uca? Hows that working for you, it cant be flexing that well with double spacers

It has "short" LCAs as part of the kit. Because of the axle position, I didn't want it to flex too much. Otherwise the rear comes too far forward and the front to far back. So, very soon, it will go to 8 in lift springs and a 4 link long arm kit.

Yeah your probably gonna need to get some long arms under that bitch ASAP, because that height with pro comp fixed arms and stock uppers is askin for trouble, you pinion angle is probably pretty far off. Looks like you need some adj. track bars too. As far as long arm kits go I'd go with kevins (kevinsjeepparts.com) if I were you. Im talking to someone about helping me make mine, so we'll see how that goes.

I like Grand Cherokees, Jeeps in general last a long time. My dad has a '94 that he has had a pretty good experience with. I was thinking of buying one as a daily driver / winter car...you can snag them for $5-6k. My dad's mechanic has two with the 6 cylinder, they both have well over 200,000 miles. My old roommate had a '94 with a V8 and had 185,000 on it when he sold it. I think they're well built except for the crappy rattling plastic interior panels. And they don't rust like a Toyota.

Now I gotta talk about more Jeeps...

My cousin has a CJ5 he's building from only a frame and engine. He has a full fiberglass tub on it and it barely drives, but he is still in process of building it. Rides on 35" tires with body and suspension lifts, the nerf bars are a good 36 inches high.

A guy I work with has a Wrangler with a Corvette motor in it...I believe from a '96. I guess he can get the front tires off the ground if he punches it in first and second.
