Ben Carufel was selling a new old stock one of those a while ago. I think the reason you had to do so much fabbing is because it was intended to go on an IX, not an IS. I'm betting the subframe for an IX has the mounting points you had to create. Either way, looks like you guys did some nice work. :up:

ya thats what i was thinking. i was asking some guys what they came stock on. you could get them on an iX right? ya i had to do the fabbing because mine is and e. i didnt get to weld but it was cool getting to fab it all together. haha

Oil pan is 1.5" off the ground. If I ad a skid plate, that leaves less than an inch. Sure I could drive with it like that, but it would get annoying because it would scrape on everything. Like the E30, the undercarriage of the E28 hangs lower than the car, so its a mind game.Austin Driggers
