How much would you pay for this car?

Stock 84 323i federalized with euro bumpers, but it doesn't run, needs a bottom end apparently. It sat for two years outside and has very little rust, just the battery tray you see in the picture really.

My auto-shop teacher just picked it up.

I'd pay a good bit. It looks like a good base.

Put in a Motronic 2.5 litre with a snail and you've got your motor. Then you can worry about the 4x4 ride height.
