Happened back in April. Was gonna post a thread then, but the whole situation was tied up in legal issues. They finally accepted fault and settled with us about 3wks ago. I have been looking for a replacement for the last 5-6 mos. then, and I have finally settled on one. Soon. I will post some pics of the "new" car. Can't wait.Originally posted by M-technik-3How long ago did that happen? Trunks gonna fill with water. Sorry to see a nice looking car get mushed but it's just a car thou in the end. J/K

Yeah, for now. Keep these and prolly sell the ones off of the "new" car. May get a set of Kopis for the new ride. Not sure just yet.Originally posted by spencersGonna sell your rims or are you gonna put them on the e30 you're getting?

Thanks for the sympathies guys. BUT, the good news is, it still runs like a champ, and there is a lotta life left in it. Still a great car. May become a track car for me. Time will tell.
Better news is, the replacement should be in my possession by noon next Saturday. Now THAT is cause for celebration. After the deal is finalized, I just may pop a top on a Milwaukee's Best and bite off a chunk of good 'ol Wisconsin cheese and say something like, "you know guys, it just doesn't get any better than this". (Not that any of you guys would remember that commercial, prolly too young.)
Anyway, I will be sure to post some pics once it is cleaned up.

Dude that sucks. wrecks suck but being rear-ended, or the thought of it anyway, just scares the shit out of me. Some person in an SUV even at low speed can kill my car permanently. The only downside of unibody construction.Im now E30less.

It was worse than that....an 18-wheeler. Yup, a big rig. Fortunately this started from a dead stop at a traffic light, so there was not a lot of speed. However, he hit me multiple times, didn't stop, kept driving me down the road ( I finally pulled away from him in second gear). He hit me so hard and so many times, that it broke the coolant elbow coming off the back of the head. Also cracked my oilpan. Yep, all this from him hitting me from behind. I swear, it is a wonder it didn't do more damage to the back. I guess the only thing that kept it from doing more damage, was that huge flat bumper on the front of his rig.Originally posted by Ryan StewartDude that sucks. wrecks suck but being rear-ended, or the thought of it anyway, just scares the shit out of me.
