Sorry y'all I've been a bit bad at updating so here's another photo dump of some of the changes and updates:

In August I had the unfortunate luck of someone backing into the car and fudging up the front fender pretty badly

One thing led to another and after a few beers with a roommate and much discussion I decided to strip the body down and have a buddy of mine do a full respray and fix the little dings and dents
- Fixed the fender damage
- New headlight grilles
- respray all bumper trims
- renewed windshield seals
- new trunk seals
- front 325is splitter
- black out all window chromes

Happy 2021 Everyone!

Just a few little changes made to the car.

Garagistic Front Splitter w/ some little aluminum spacers I added in the middle to give it a bit more support.. I'll probably take it back apart and paint them black

I've got some other little projects in the works but I'll hold off on that until it's complete (; For now, just going to enjoy some good weather and cruising

Can you share more details on that steering wheel? I've been looking for something that would bring the wheel a bit closer to the driver and that looks about right.

The fresh paint and all the details look damn good.

Thank you! I had a friend who was using a Renown 100 Motorsport Suede which was 350mm diameter/100mm depth and was running their hub adapter...and when I sat in his car, I felt like it brought it out a bit too much, I couldn't find a comfortable seat position with it.. (maybe I have short legs)... So I ordered the Time Trial Dark Steering Wheel which was essentially the same diameter (340mm) but half the depth at 55mm.. and I'm much happier with the result. There is also enough clearance from the turn signals so you don't bump them during some spirited driving

The install was very straight forward for me since my vehicle did not come with an airbag. Just a few tips:
- Keep your key in KL15 (Run Position) in order to keep the steering lock released so you can remove the wheel and not damage the lock cylinder
- Run the extra ground wire for the steering wheel horn, don't skip it and hope that the grounding ring will work.
- The install instructions for the extra ground recommend to use a zip-tie to hold the wire against the hub, but I couldn't seem to get it to hold the wire reliably and old cars vibrate so I just drilled a small hole right here and sanded it a bit down:

Great - thanks for all the detailed info and the links. I'll have a look at the links and try to mock up some measurements...it's hard to get a feel for this and appreciate your feedback.

No problem mjweimer if you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

I forgot to post up some pictures of the new exhaust system! 3.0" piping with V-Bands for the muffler. I used a little MIG welder to cut and tack everything into place, then I took it down to my friends shop where his fabricator TIG'd everything else into place. I was very happy with the final product, however it does seem to sit a little low near the differential. But overall it works for me, only other thing I wanted to add was a little turndown tip to face it towards the ground

The kit was just a 3.0" Universal DIY Mandrel Bent Piping Set with a Magnaflow Muffler.

I dig your whip!! Haven't seen that splitter before, looks good

Question for ya, I notice your exhaust is lacking a cat. How is the smell? I have also left the cat out of my exhaust and I'm pretty surprised how bad it stinks. Even while moving if I do a pull windows down it reeks of exhaust, though I believe this is due to my screamer pipe... if I keep my windows up I don't smell anything, but the windows down experience is what I appreciate.

I don't think I have an exhaust leak beyond the obnoxious screamer pipe, maybe the smell is just par for the course while going catless?

Funny you should ask me that! because she smells... a lot. I was beginning to question it, but I'm also having some issues with my tune and I've noticed that it is running very rich at idle (11:1) so I think I need to handle that issue before I have a better idea, but I have a feeling it is going to stink even once I have the fuel trims in order...I guess we will see. Car is headed back to the tuner next week so I will update you when it is back.

I'm waiting for a variable TPS off an M50 and Adapter Plate to run on the throttle body so I can get a reliable reading from the pedal. I was scratching my head on it, since I bench tested the OE sensor and it was reading fine and the wires checked out OK.. However, I was unaware that the factory M20 TPS did not work the same way as the Variable that was required for MS (probably should've read the instructions) ha

This is the final result of about 3 months of tinkering and sourcing a bunch of small little parts & hardware for this design. If anyone is interested and want a more in-depth explanation on how I built this I will gladly answer any questions or post up a separate build thread on making this. But for now I just thought I would share it. (I have a video of it working but not sure if I can post directly on here)

- (2) Hanhart 1/5 & 1/10 Timers
- Custom 55mm Center Clock Insert
- Garagistic Triple Gauge Mount (Modified)
- Brass Hardware
- Custom built Mechanical Synchronizer to run both clocks

Most of the pieces were sourced online, and the rest of the hardware was found at a local hardware store.

Final picture here just from an early morning coffee run

The timer looks fantastic. I really like design and the hardware you chose.

How did you mount that fire extinguisher?

Thank you. For the fire extinguisher, it’s just the mount bracket that it came with. During the initial build, when I had the engine and transmission out, I mounted some carriage bolts from the back side of the tunnel, through the carpet. Then just two nuts through the interior side.
