    E61 content (new grocery getter)

We picked up an e61 a few days ago. We love all the room the e61 offers. "Passion is timeless"

All I can see is how similar that Taurus/500 is in profile, at least in that shot, to an E61. Freaky.

N52B30. I did not want the headaches of the N54/55. We already have one of those headachesšŸ˜ in the 1 series. "Passion is timeless"

Congrats and hope you enjoy the new ride! I wonder how many of us E30 folk also own a later chassis Touring? I'm in the E46 camp with 2mAn.

Luckily the e60s did not get the n55 even at the end of the gen. I’m on the look out for a 2010 m sport 535xi. I’d consider selling my e30 if the ā€œperfectā€ one came up. Good buy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BMW is so confusing nowadays though, The N55 came before the N54?

N54 came out first (2006). The N55 was introduced in 2009 "Passion is timeless"

the n54 had two turbos and the n55 had "twin power turbo" which is just a single twin scroll turbo

n54 had forged internals and the n55 had cast rods and a cast crank, but forged pistons.

so the n54 is more turner friendly

I thought that some versions of the n55 had forged cranks, like in the 135is and 335is, plus upgraded intercoolers or something also.
