AKA they help rockers not break... AND its way easier to install than those stupid springs.

They're BMP rocker locks, just stronger than stock.. Supposed to prevent lateral movement on the rocker at high RPM's. Probably overkill because this motor doesn't see over 7k rpm, but oh well, they were installed when the motor was built

It really wasn't that nice, photos definitely made it look nicer than it was. The e30 is in much better condition

    Time for an update:

    e30 is nearly done cosmetically:

Pulled the motor/trans out of the e34 together, a leveler definitely would have made things easier and I'm definitely going to use one when it's time to put the motor back in the e30.

^Trying to decide whether to use this harness that I got with my megasquirt or to make an jumper harness using the stock ecu plug.. Leaning towards the second

Looks good, as I expected since there is only ~30k on this head

Wait, what's that?! Oh good, zip ties! I wonder what the heat tolerances are on these bad boys:

Clutch still looks pretty good, although I can't bring myself to re-use is so I'll be picking up another e34 m5 clutch.

It's got too many issues to be worth much as an entire car.. Once I take the motor/trans it really won't be worth anything at all, so why no part it out. I would sell the rolling chassis but the wheels, coilovers, control arms, diff, driveshaft and almost every aftermarket part are all spoken for so the buyer will have to drag it out of my garage on the ground and give me more than the $75 the scrapyard will give me for it.

Aw so your not going to sell the shell? or as a roller?

Finally got the Ground Controls on the car.. Here are a couple pics of the finished housings:

Took 1.5" out. These pictures are just after rolling it out of the garage for the first time, can't drive it yet because I'm STILL waiting on my rear shocks so it looks like I'm going to miss tomorrow's night auto-x event. I'll probably have to raise it a tad in the front because it rubs at full lock with the 225/50's, but I'll wait and see until after it's aligned because I know my caster is wayy off on the plates.

I was waiting to finish the e30 suspension so I could pull the e34 in the garage and start parting it out, so the next update will be swap related for sure. Decided to rob the whole drivetrain from the e34 since the motor/trans/harness combo was the best option for e30 m30 swaps.
