So I am getting classic car insurance for this car that limits you to 5K a year, which will be easy. This will protect the car for the true value of the car, since technically if it was totaled they would look up other 325iC's at area lots with 120K on them and assess the value around $3K. I know it's worth quite a bit more than that now. Before I tell you what I am having it covered for, what's your estimation of its worth? Besides everything in this thread that you have read about, I have done the following:
Brand new Yokohoma S Drives on Borbet wheels, sparco strut brace, euro grills, 5000K HID conversion, IS front spoiler, RD rear skirt, shaved 3rd light, euro trim, bumper facelift, 4:10 VC LSD, and NEW: shocks/struts, brakes, rotors, e-brakes, wires, cap, rotor, waterpump, timing belt/pulley, control arms and inner/outer ball joints, CABs, strut bushings, tie rod ends, shock mounts, wheel bearings, guibo, center support bearing, eshaust (cat-back), front engine seals, fuel pump/filter, CPS, oil pan gasket, hoses, belts, plugs, etc. etc. etc.!!Comment

one millllion dollllars (in dr.evil voice). I think it could easily appraise for $10k. I have classic car insurance through american collectors for $6k on a stock 90 325ic. 5k limit as well.Comment

Ive been thinking about this same thing on mine but you have alot more invested in yours...mostly labor! I try to think, "what would it take for it to be taken off my hands?" Would anybody give you 10K for it? Yeah, maybe, but would you sell it for 10K? Could you replace it for 10K or whatever you think its worth?
Which insurance are you going with? I know that my Geico offers it...which I really should do asap. Whats the difference in the premium on 8k,10k,12k values?Comment

Geico actually brokers the business to American Collectors Insurance. Their website has a quote tool if you want to price out the different values. The difference is minimal. $190/yr includes the Platinum TLC plan which covers emergency towing up to $250/yr full cover $0 deductible on $6k car value. Such a deal.Comment

oh yeah- Im getting it covered through Hagerty Insurance for $287 a year, 0 deductible, 5K mile limit, for a value of $7500. That's what I figured the value to be.
Whats in store for the future? S50 with 5 spd, 17" Alpinas, Eibach pro kit springs, and ?????Comment
