so yesterday i stopped by mr CJ raeburn's home and had a little chat reguarding my needlebearing roller rockers, after taking a look at the old one i had he suggested i call up an old friend of his mike of harland sharp custom speed. after speaking with mike and him doing some research we have decided to build custom needle bearing tipped roller rocker arms with a screw adjustment instead of an eccentric adjustment.
production will begin in august and drawings should be available sometime before then.
i am trying to find other folks interested in sets of these as cost will be drastically cut
less than 5 people = $50 per rocker arm $600 per set
5 people = $40 per rocker arm = $480 per set
10 people = $30 per rocker arm = $360 per set
25 people - $20 per rocker arm = $240 per set
shipping costs will be worked out later but frankly i am more interested in who would be interested in these rockers.
if everyone is interested we can get custom anodization and or race coatings. i don't see much of a point to these options concidering the costs however if enough people are interested we will discuss it further including pricing.
so yesterday was kind of interesting, it has been a little over 4 years since i welded and yesterday i realized that was way way way too long i had completely forgotten to weld and had to relearn how. in the process of relearning i quite seriously mucked the look of my plenum but it is at least air tight it just looks like crap.
woohoo today i had an awesome call, the auto mod company local to me called me and said that my reinforced silicone hose came in. it is black and frankly absolutely beautiful the inside is orange. i gave my godfather a call and sometime next week he's going to let me intoo the machine shop and i get to knock out the plenum. while i was at the mod shop i put saw an intercooler i liked and put a hold on it, and looked at some turbos.
