That means that there's no oil in the crankcase :).

M&K Muffler with SSI Headers. You will like. Excellent quality in both and make great power. Ben from M&K posts regularly on the pelicanparts 911 forum and is great to do business with.

You car is very similar to my father's The RUF stuff looks good.

When he got the muffler it was pretty loud. M&K has since added a baffle and while it is still loud, it's reasonable and sounds awesome above 4 grand.

            Great looking project.

              Sexxy time photos coming soon.

Saw the paint completed tonight on the various parts.
Muffler setup looks good and is almost invisible from "normal viewing" distance.

                Josh,

                Thank you

I have admired your father's car several times in your thread. Actually, your entire thread is amazing. I wish I had the time, patience, skill, and support to do bodywork myself. I love the direction you are going with the E30. So pure.

M&K and SSI is exactly what I would do with if I had the money right now. Modified stock will have to do for the time being.

Chris, you don't know how anxious I am to see these photos. Mario says it is looking sweet.

                    Thanks for the compliment.

I meant no ill will to posting the car in your thread. After I did it I thought it might have been rude to cross-pollinate your thread with my pictures. It was really just to show the M&K and the Getty Design pieces. Luckily, you took it the right way. ;)

It's going to be fun car too. On the pelican parts 911 forum, there's an Ultimate RUF Conversion thread started by a guy named souk i think. In addition to showing multiple yellow bird clones, I think they had some fitment tips too. If anything, it's a fun thread to look at.

                    Look forward to seeing more.

I am glad you posted those. My thread could use some new pictures. I never assumed you meant any ill will.

I spent (and continue to spend) countless hours on pelican and the RUF Conversion thread. Great information. I must say, though, that I am less then impressed with the asymmetry and overall lines of my Getty Design pieces. They are, however, structurally sound. The guys at VSR solved the fitment issues, by cutting the pieces up and putting them back together. The lines just weren't doing it for me. They did a lot of work for some subtle tweaking, but to me it is worth it to get it just right. I have not yet seen the results, but hear that it is looking good. I may have to run up there tomorrow.

                        Update!

Update! Still much to go. Gas tank is still not in. Will be lowered next week and then side skirts will be installed.

                        Pics for now. Words later.

Yes they are. I had two audi's and parts prices on my 2000 s4 was like 4x the amount of the e30. Porsche has to be up there as well since they are somewhat related.

                                not quite..

Audi's back in the day shared some similar parts/platforms with VW but Audi & Porsche, although under the same family of companies, have very little to do with one another..

also look at how many E30's were produced compared to 2000 S4's.. You cannot extrapolate Porsche prices based on your experience with a 2000 S4 when compared to BMW E30's!?!? Really?

You want to see expensive take for example UR Quattro parts which don't even compare to E30 M3 parts prices as most older Audi parts are NLA..

And back to Porsche.. Since porsche kept essentially the same design for 20 to 30 yrs you can often find parts for Porsche's cheaper than even certain pieces for BMW's.
