I love the mtech1 goodies. Early cars really do need some type of rear valence to look right. Do you have the skirts too? -
Woohoo. From Gatwick - UK to Sacramento, CA in 3 days!!!

And I had to do this lol

Front and rear.

s3.46 is in. 1st tops out at about 30mph now, 2nd at the stock rev. limit gets to 60. I am pretty happy about that. No noises this time, looked clean inside. S3.25 in 100-150 miles I put on it since the install with new redline 75w90 fluid already had 1/4 of the sensor coated with metal shavings lol.
5th gear 70mph is at 2600 rpm, 3000rpm is just shy of 80mph.
This is with 195/60 tires.Leave a comment:

I should have probably kept them lol... now I could really use some bigger wheels/tires :)
e30nate - I have a pending case against someone who caused it... hearing is in october.
Well, the front mtechI valance is on the way. Left Gatwick - UK yesterday and is currently in East Midlands - UK. I asked the seller to take his time, and package it well and paid him extra to do that. All in all even with shipping it was still a good deal.
I recently installed s3.25 in place of s3.73 and my top speed in 1st went from about 25mph to 35-40, 2nd went from 56ish to almost 65....3rd with 3.25 is about 90-95. With 3.25 it makes a great DD, doing 40mph in 4th I was at 1500rpm, and doing 40mph in 5th it's at about 1200-1300rpm!
The diff I installed is very noisy, so it's coming off tomorow to make room of s3.46. Hopefully 3.46 will be "just right". I am hoping 1st will be at about 30, and 2nd as close to 60 as possible since most autocross events are 2nd gear.Last edited by Jean; 09-19-2009, 04:30 PM.Leave a comment:

They are currently on mine and the lips are very shiny. :)Nope, I sold them to Lof8 a while back. Someone else on the forum is running them now.
They required spacers to clear when I upgraded to 325i front/rear brakes. I probably would have kept them if I had euro bumpers on hand... but there are always Alpina / Hartge / BBS wheels to find.Leave a comment:

I got to drive Jean's 335i briefly on Sunday. Torque + 3.73 = hill climb car ;)

Yeah, I needed to do something about the lack of rear valance, that was my main concern honestly.
I am still going more towards performance, so I am not done yet ;)
Current bilstein sports and h&r sports will soon be for sale.Leave a comment:

It's come a longggg way Jean. I have to admit that our cars mirror each other. You went performance and now are going aesthetics, I went aesthetics and am now going performance. Kind of ironic :nice:
Anyways, can't wait to see those M-tech pieces painted and kitted on your car. It's going to look great!
And I'm still using your old thread constantly for reference during my swap :)Leave a comment:
