    325E DD projeckt

I just picked up this 325E that needs some tlc. Not going to be a crazy project just a fixer upper motly with some small mods. Overall the body is in good condition minimal rust and just a few dings. My plans for this is daily driver that will look bad! I have new brakes, SS lines, ATE brake fluid, IE strut brace and a few pirces of trim and weatherstrip on there way.

When i got it the shifter had so much slop to go into reverse i had to push the shifter into the center console!! i found out the rubber mounts were shot that hold the shifter to the trans so i JB welded them and drilled new holes. Now its feeling much better!

The previous owner must have ripped off the front lip on something because it was all half ass bolted on so im working on that right now.

Im not sure what kind of rims i want to put on im torn between basketweaves or some cheap simple 5 spokes with nice lips. After the brakes i plan on throwing some drop springs with the rims. Also collapse the massive diving boards ewww.

The paint and body is too scratched up to salvage so ill bang out the dents and fill the scratches. Then im going with a satin/textured simmilar color red.... or go flat black.

Looks exactly like one of my old DD's. We called it the "ready 30" (red e30) because it was always ready for a drive no matter how bad she was falling apart. Miss that old beater! Good luck with yours!

oh i may be selling the IE strut brace, its too long. Its for the other frame, i think 39.5 tower to tower, the other one is 38.75" , then again my frame is a bit tweaked from a front end collision on the bumper. Note how the hood is low on the left and high on the right, sadly i didnt see this when i bought the car because it was parked on a hill sideways wich made it look better :(

Good luck with this. These projects never stay small. I think I said the same thing about my eta. After new interior, new front valence, new bumpers, and more; now I'm looking for the next new thing...

paint doesn't look all to bad from the pics. try buffing, clay bar, good cleaner wax, maybe some polish products before u just on a respray.
