    Accuracy Auto 91' 318i build.

Yet another project Im currently working on. This is a 1991 318i 4 door, It will be sold to my friend/neighbor Connie as her new daily driver.
Since I will be the legal owner until she is through making payments I am adding it to my list of cars being built.
The plans are new, stock OEM everything except stereo and the TSW wheels that you see in the pictures.

How she sat when work began:

Pretty neglected but she will clean up well.

    Post Wash, Seafoam action:

The head had been replaced but according to the previous owner, the valve cover gasket was reused because they thought it looked fine. Well it wasn't fine, It was leaking like crazy.
I installed a new gasket, plug rings and the grommets for the bolts. + painted the valve cover for the engines color scheme I have decided to use:

Unfortunately 4 of the threads for the valve cover bolts are striped out. Ill have to drill them out and helicoil in some new threads.

    Projects are so much fun!8)

QFT!!! I have 2 of them currently... luckily no leaks though as I am not looking forward to helicoils...

Oh man, I have been working on her for the past couple of days, in the interior.

I had to lift the carpet and hammer the floor flat, on drivers and passengers side, because the PO jacked up the car from floorboards. I've resealed the chassis plugs that were loose allowing water into the car. Then finally began cleaning the carpet. Some stains aren't coming out, I've even hit the really bad ones with beach and even brake clean. I guess I'm going to have to lightly dye the carpet.
Ill update with pictures later on.

Are you steam cleaning the carpet? maybe some brake clean and a steam clean could help getting those stains out. That's what I'll be doing once I pick up my new e30 this weekend. looks like a good project!

Yeah, I hit the carpet with a really heavily concentrated mix of shampoo with my extractor first thing. Came out way better but the stains have withstood everything i've thrown at them since. I've started dying them, its coming out really well.

I haven't been working much due to my car accident. My back has been kinda fucked.

                        Here are some progress shots.

PO, or someone jacked the car up from the floor boards. So I got to fix that all up.

And after that, here is what the carpets were like... Umm nasty. I had to dye them. I don't like to dye carpets but I had to.

                        Passenger before:

                        And After:

                        Driver before:

                        And after:

They actually look worse in the pictures then they do in person. So overall I'm quite content with the way they came out. And my client will be very happy with this turn around.

More later. I still need to put the interior together and finish detailing it.
