    winter status, zero bmw content

This vehicle is the reason why i havent worked on the e30 truck lately.

    I present to you.

    winter mode:

Its a 1990 4runner v6 that i picked up for 100 bucks. Its on 36's with a solid axle swap from an 85 toyota pickup and an 8inch lift. Rear springs are from an 03 dodge 1500 and it has a rear disc swap with toyota 4 piston calipers and FJ vented rotors.

    And how it was made

E30 truck holding the tires, 36x13.5x15

    old front shocks vs. new

The rusted out ass end of the frame.

    old axle out

    new ass end

    Rear disc swap

    Old front end

    deleted

    New front end

Not that anyone cares, but its my winter mode project truck.

And this is why, when I think about it, I get pissed off that I didn't build a PU or 4runner. So easy/cheap to build a competent wheeler. Looks awesome, just lose the blocks and build a tracbar!

Ive got many kinks to work out still, eventually i'll start playing with a tracbar but for now the pansy v6 is whats killing me.

hahah nope. Just an excuse to play with lifted things after driving lowered ones for years.

              Why not full width axles?

I would also lower it and cut the shit out of the fenders or add a roll cage, looks very top heavy.

Or even, full width axles, lowered, no fenders and a cage.

There is no full width toyota front axle. I got a matching width rear when i bought the front as to not need to regear mine. I'm running 2in spacers on each corner so its slightly wider than the wide trac toyota axles.

Its not too top heavy at all, as long as you don't drive like a jackass on the street its fine. I still have to cut the front fenders, at the moment i have more flex than i can use.

I'll exocage it if i roll it in the woods. I'm not too worried about it though

How's the weather up there? Do you have to file IFR on cloudy days?
