    clutch master, slave cylinder, clutch line

    So on my previous e30 I had to do the clutch hydraulics on the floor of my garage with car on jack stands.
    its an easy job just annoying.

    This time I was able to schedule some lift time on a Sat and knock out a few jobs all at once.


    got the car on the lift


    tools ready for the most part


    lower dash panel removed,
    2 10mm bolts taken out.

    out with the old clutch master cylinder setup

    new goodies

    out with the old slave cylinder setup

    old vs new ( clutch master cylinder)

    old vs new ( slave master cylinder and rubber line, being replaced by a oem slave and a UUC stainless braided kevlar coated clutch line.


    old reservoir hose vs new
    bmw sells it by the meter, and black hose supersedes the part number for the blue hose.


    full assembly ready to go in as a unit
    (personal preference on how I like to do it.

      updates

      did an oil change,
      I chased the threads and ran a new drain plug and crush washer.
      drain plug has the same thread as the oem pan but has a magnet on the end to catch metal shavings.
      old on the left with galled up threads.
      (yes i cleaned the shit off of it before I installed it.)


      old oil filter is up to the length off the motor mount
      (excuse the dent in the oil filter, i was man handling it with a weird oil filter wrench then decided to take a picture)


      stock size oil filter housing,
      new oil filter housing.
      approximately 2inches longer in length, same diameter,
      better filtering capability,
      a couple bucks more.


      I also replaced my alternator belt,

        So I sent my injectors to get rebuilt at RC engineering located in torrance ca.


        RC Engineering, Inc.

        I was researching what company to use to have my injectors rebuilt and calibrated and I got 5 first hand reviews of this company so I trusted them to do the work.




        All wrapped up in bubble wrap.
        I was pleased with there turn around time.
        1.5 days to ship it to them
        3 days for the work
        1.5 day to ship it back.



        All new parts throughout and painted.


        installed on the fuel rail, sideways for better clearance between the head and the intake manifold upon installation.

        I scanned the printout the sent me, Hopefully it doesnt come out to pixelated.
        I was please with the results.

          Recap off the little projects that got busted out in a couple hours last sat.

          fresh 20w50 oil change.
          longer then stock oil filter
          magnet oil drain plug

          valve adjustment
          new valve cover gasket
          4 new rocker shaft plugs

          rebuilt calibrated flow benched injectors installed

          clutch master cylinder
          uuc stainless braided line
          slave master cylinder
          ate super blue brake fluid used to flush out the system

          alternator belt

          Gave the car a wash, pressure washed the engine bay and then went for a drive.

          All buttoned up for now

            I went to the meguiars detailing class a month ago.
            I got home today from work and found good news.
            the Bmwcca la chapter has a magazine called the Whispering Bomb
            and my car and I are on the last page.
            there are some pictures from the event at the top of page 9
            Im on the bottom right hand picture, the young guy with the black hair.

              do you feel any difference with the reman injectors? fuel economy?

                          I wanted to support a member and vendor of r3v.
                          and local to me in Ca.

                          So I placed a small order with George Graves.
                          place and order

                          get package

                          add some sort of connector.
                          I had a fader connector laying around with both ends

                          only used 2 pins.

                          other end. I cut off the extra wires.

                          and spliced it in.

                          plug it in

                          mount it up,
                          i used a ziptie in the stock location.



                          so far it has worked great,
                          george was quick to responds to my emails,
                          I'm a happy customer

                              e30 enthusiast works fine for me.
                              almost everything that gets done to the car gets documented with pictures then posted.
                              except goodies that are in store to be installed at a later date.;)

                              there are a couple projects in the works.
