exact same thing has happened to me as far as the accident goes... same spot except no damage to the core support. My car was matching vins car too and that ticked me off but i went with brand new hood and fender from the dealer and its going for a complete respray now. Love what you've done with the car keep it up!

well it has been a little over a year that i have owned the car.
I had to get it registered for the month of Feb, and had to have her smogged and I am quite pleased with the results.
smog place in Costa Mesa 50 bucks not bad
last year in January's smog
this year's in February smog
quite an improvement
o2 sensor
fuel injectors been rebuilt
coolant sensors
spark plugs
oil change oil filter
valve adjustment
air filter
fuel filter
coolant flush
various vacuum hoses.
a new used 173 dme, old one was shorting out.
(THANKS PEERLESS,ROBERT, FOR HOOKING IT WITH A FREE DME)
the car runs so much better then when i bought and this smog results prove it.
Since I purchased the car Dec of 2009 I have always purchased Chevron premium 91 octance fuel for every single fill up just for personal preference and the Jim Conforti chip.
My last tank cost 3.98 and currently its at 4.10 for a tank of Chevron Premium.
The first tank of gas after getting the car running.
the car was bone dry, empty light on.
the most i have ever filled up was 12 gallons, I was surprised to say the least when i looked and it was at 14 gallons
I'm getting an avg of 22-23 in 40% city driving 60% highway driving conservatively with a stripped out trunk and no passenger seat. :)

drive like there is an egg between your shoe and the gas pedal
don't crush it.
then drive it like you stole it every once in a while.

small things that i changed over the weekend.
shitty emblem i got with the hood
old
new
my gas was really hard to remove when i went to fill up.
old
old vs new
new
I have filled up twice so it looks like the gas cap was the problem.
my glovebox handle broke and this will do for now, what i really want is a no lock euro handle.
broken
old vs new
much better, can't lock it but not that big of a deal.
I don't smoke and no one is allowed to smoke in the car, or ash in the car.
So i took the partitions out of the ash tray to give it more room for randomness.
stock
modified
I wanted to try out skateboard grip tape on the pedals to see if I like it.
stock
small upgrade possibly.
I ordered more goodies, they should be here soon.
U.S. smiley ellipsoids
e36 window switch
laminX
topgaitors shift boot and custom length ebrake boot
mtech stripe trim for the steering wheel
light bulbs for the hvac backlighting.
euro grills
m/// oil cap
