sweet build. All these 02 projects lately are making me very very jealous. I want one so badly. I might do something rash in the near future....

Update - I felt it was due.
I've been chasing a misfire issue.. like only cylinder 2 is firing.

Will update this weekend. Have to clean out the garage after the huge storm and power outage from the weekend (leaves EVERYWHERE! - garage door was open when the power went out... yeah... I learned something new.) New set of M20 Injectors coming from Worldpac, should have them by 3. Just trying to get my motivation back up, this car is kicking my ass.
Update on an update.
Ordered a set of these to complete my injectors. The new ones don't come with them, and I don't want to run without them, cause i'm not sure if it will cause an issue! Not taking chances.
After testing the M50 ones this weekend I may order another set and try rebuilding those ones..

Here are my new injectors. I'm a bit confused. I don't have the same pintle caps on these as what came out of the car? Are these an updated design? Do I pull that plastic washer off at the bottom of the injector?

After getting it started, and running again; i've taken some time to really come up with a game plan of what I want to do and a time frame for the 2002.
I'm taking my time and knocking out little things here and there as I see fit. Making sure the engine was still good was my top priority. That being said, here's the update..
Last weekend, I wanted to get the aux. relays sorted out and mounted in the engine bay of the 2002.
I hold on to way too much shit that I really should just toss.. This time, it paid off..
We're on to something. Trimmed it down to size, and painted.

Spent all day in the garage.
Got the CSB Mounting Bracket all done. Replaced the guibo. Made a mounting bracket for the late model shift linkage. Everything is hung up and solid!! I took pictures with my phone, but i'll get the camera out tomorrow. so jealous seeing the motor in that bay. Give us more!!!!!! I'm gonna have to pick your brain when it comes to wiring the m20 to the 02 harness.. I'm a very mechanical guy and I'm terrified of this portion of the swap.

That's the beauty of these mounts, you retain the ability to use the E30 driveline and it sits the engine just low enough to not have to fuck with the firewall. It was not necessary for me, it may be different for your car. Only thing I did was kind of section out the trans tunnel to make installation a breeze, I figured I would build around the trans which is where i'm headed here soon.
I should have time this weekend to update. The car moves under it's own power now, i've been able to pull it in and out of the garage over the weekends to get the garage cleaned up a bit. Once the cooling system is hooked up and bled I should be ready to go for a little drive. Exhaust still needs figuring out. I hope I'm as lucky as you! I was gonna install engine without trans, to check clearance of everything and then take it back out and try with trans. And clearance etc. do you have pics of the cuts you made? I noticed you cut out your radiator support. I read that you don't have to do that with the scirocco radiator. What radiator u plan on running? I bought a Z4M mishimoto for mine. It's basically a e30/e36 one but thicker. + intercooler, so I'm definitely cutting that out. I'd also like a removable front clip. Eventual tubular front would be cool.
