Sina's BMW 318i: Project Re-Shell & Beyond! (Starting Page 46)
What does R3V think about these?
One of my sealed beams burned out, and I'm sick und tired with the low output.
These are pretty affordable for me, and I could get hi-bulbs & 35W HID's for lows fairly easily, as well.
I'm referring to the H4/H1 E-codes that weren't legal in the US at the time, leaving us stuck with shit-ass sealed beam-halogens. Their direct replacement housings that have replaceable bulbs and vastly superior output and pattern.
That being said, Cibies are at the upper end of the price scale, there are more affordable and nearly as good offerings from Hella and Bosche, your Peugeot forum probably knows a thing or two about them as well.
I'd take the quality of these over any DEPO set-up any day.
Ah very interesting. I know of several dude's who've done similar with the Peugeot.
However, the more popular swap amongst RWD Peugeot enthusiasts is to swap out the entire dual-round assembly for the one-piece glass european lights like below:
Dun even have to replace the mounts, just the housings. It'd be different if you started out with Ellipsoides, but since you've got sealed beams it's a plug and play swap.

Very tempting. I'm highly considering going amber on the lows and clears on the highs. I've been trying to find some on ebay though to no avail.
ahh sorry, i was flipping through some pages and meant to post the 5.75's (these would be going on my other car if I were to buy Danielson headlight buckets)
Here's a better comparison...something like these or Depo's?
Of course, Depos out of the box suck. I think most people use them to retrofit brighter projectors into... at least that is pretty much all they're good for
