No problem.
The diff swap is really straightforward, and there are write-ups on this forum.
I used Redline 75w-90, and I have a stock bushing on this car, but my last E30 had an AKG polyurethane. If you can afford it, go polyurethane. If not, no big deal.Leave a comment:

Well I have been thinking about getting another europlate for a while, and last friday I ordered one. I was at a meet when someone brought up the idea, and I thought it kicked ass. Later, while drunk, I purchased the sum-bitch and it got to me really fast.
Now, I am sure, especially since I live on a Marine Corps base, that I am gonna get a lot of shit from this, but it comes with the territory.
At first I wanted to have like "pullinlbs" or "boostinS52" but a few people said that would be too obvious. So I started the hunt for something more mysterious and subtle.
Well, I got the mysterious part down pat, but the subtle thing, not so much.
To give you an idea of where this plates idea is coming from...... the car is supercharged, and a supercharger is often referred to as a blower..... so.........
To not keep you waiting any longer............ *drum roll please*..........
Voila!

Hilarious isnt it!?
I will keep this thread updated with real life stories of the kind of trouble the plate gets me into.
Diff tomorrow afternoon. Julian cruise on Sunday. Good weekend for progress.Leave a comment:

He would probably notice if he tacked out at 10.5k. :p His numbers are in line with a ZF and a 3.25, the fifth gear is almost the same as a g260 with a 4.10.Leave a comment:

I saw that your car started it's life as a 318is, but do you know if the coding plug has been changed? Because the coding plug for the 318is reads every 4 injector pulses. And the 325i reads every 6. So I believe that your actual rpm is 2/3's of what it is showing you. I have the same problem with mine.It might seem perfect for most, but a 3.25 is way too short.
First gear is gone in literally 1 second. Second gear doesnt last much longer.
And I do a lot of freeway miles, and 3k is 68 mph. Which is ridiculous. Cause the last thing I want to do is cruise with traffic at 3800 rpms, when I can swap it out and get better mileage.
