Did you O ring the head or the block? Wasnt sure if you was going to boost or not.

Decided not to O-Ring the block since I picked up the welded head - but yes, I'll be running a low boost application eventually. That will probably be more of the winter side of the project. I want to get it up and running first.

Good choice on using the Goetze gasket. I've heard of issues w/Victor Reinz before.

You should definitely bring it to Vintagefest this year.

Not much progress lately. I just sold my daily driver Volvo and I'm concentrating on picking up a new car right now while saving my money.

The rust repair is a bit of a hang up right now. I can't decide whether to put my money into some welding classes or to send the e30 to a body shop.

Fuck welding classes.
Get a welder, buy some steel and pratice.
ITs alot easier than what most people think and thats alot of extra money for your project.

...I bought a torpedo propane heater that hits 85,000 BTU's

...that's about it lately as far as garage related progress.

I'm checking out an e28 535is Silver on Cardinal this weekend. Hopefully it works out and I'll finally have a daily squared away and can start dumping money back into the e30 abyss.
