    trim

...car looks great.....nice work...love me some white e30s..

re Duplicolor trim paint, thanx for the heads up.....SEM does suck a bit

but is the Dupli for metal surfaces only?( their site implies that).....have y'all used it on plastic as well.....?

oops..further reading on other sites says " automotive plastics" as well.......kewl.

    you guys rock.
I love sitting down and just driving!

If you have the right tools that piece-by-piece route may be best.

Be sure to bolt up your diff mount as soon as you can. It will make life much easier for the 2 subframe mounts.

Looks like a fun build. Wish I had an e30 to work on again :(
Definitely easier to do the entire assembly like we did your Gary. I just did another one by myself for a customer car and it was a cinch compared to when I did my own and did it piece by piece.

i actually like the "i" lip.

as for putting in the rear garbage, i figured the diff & axle carrier will go in as one piece and the trailing arms will follow. should be simple enough.

Put the trailing arms on before you put the subframe in. Much easier...

andy over at akg seems like a pretty cool guy. stopped in today to get my bushings and he popped them in and then we sat around talking about whatever for an hour or so. if you're in the area, stop by and say hi.

a note to the next person(s) who drop their rear junk,........make sure you replace all the hardlines (if needed) in the brake system now since it makes it super easy having the axle carrier removed. will post pics of my newly fabricated lines & braided lines when i get around to snapping a pic.

                          +1

Coming along nicely. I'd love to see the pics when you get a chance. I just pulled out my first subframe today and I'm looking for any and all inspiration to get it cleaned up and back in correctly. My subframe bushings were glued/seized to the mounting holes on the car... What fun!
