Did you get that Skid plate out of the trunk? Nice car. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful car. Wish I had as much funds as you, then I would have my suspension done by now. I can't agree with you more about the m42. As much as I miss the torque of a 6, I just can't for the life of me get rid of this awesome motor. When are you planning to turbo charge it? If you need any help about turbocharging, you should PM danny, he did it the right way and the wrong way;)Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I did, and it already saved me once. I had to drive on a crowned dirt road, felt it hit twice. :D I ordered it from your site, and tried the "R3v" code for shits and giggles. I think it ended up around $180 to my door -- which rocked. :D
Thanks! I know a lot of people frown on the rep wheels, especially in gloss black. It was not my first choice, but I needed wheels and tires, as I have an 88 325iC I need smogged by the end of the month, and it had none. If I had my choice, I would be on Hartges. :)
Thanks a ton! I love the M42, especially with the Mark D chip. It made the car a lot more enjoyable to drive, as it gave it a noticeable increase in torque... Which the heavy wheels took away. :|Beautiful car. Wish I had as much funds as you, then I would have my suspension done by now. I can't agree with you more about the m42. I don't have my heart set on turboing, and Danny himself said S50 > M42T. It all comes down to reliability -- this is my DD. It gets me to and from school. I have a feeling a S50 would keep that, whereas the turbo would kind of hurt it a bit.
Thanks for all of the comments! :)

I don't frown on those wheels, they look great, and 16s are perfect. But I went the opposite way, from 'relatively' heavy Ronals LS to forged BBS RGs, and feel like I gained 15hp on my M42. Just something to consider next time you get new wheels. Thanks! I know a lot of people frown on the rep wheels, especially in gloss black. Also, if you like the Z3 rack, you'll also like a 1.9 shifter, and a Z3 4.10 torsen LSD.sigpic

I felt a stark difference from the BBS weave to the XXR. Each XXR was 18 pounds (2 higher than their advertised weight. :(), and each tire was 20. WHEN I do different wheels, the weight will come down. A lot. I feel like the weight totally negated the gains I got from the Mark D chip.I don't frown on those wheels, they look great, and 16s are perfect. I've got plans to go to an LSD in the future, the open differential takes a lot of fun out of the car. I'll keep the Z3 torsen in mind, thanks. :D
