I had this car for sale but the market won't support it at the moment unless it's a 5 speed so the wife and I elected to keep it.
Got it about 4 months ago now and it was already in pretty good shape appearance wise. I just washed, buffed, and waxed it to a pretty nice shine. I took the interior out and the wife detailed it very nicely... she loves to do interiors.:-D

I did have to find a head and rebuild it since the PO had let the timing belt go. I had it tanked and spec'd. I had a bunch of pics of the newly assembled head and the nice etching on the cylinder walls... but the SD card in the camera managed to become corrupted so I lost all of those. Suffice to say the engine now runs really well and is fairly quiet for an m20. A buddy said, "Ah there's definitely something wrong with it." I was like what are you talking about. His response, "it's too quiet." So I was happy with the engine outcome. I cleaned and painted everything of course while it was apart.

List of stuff done to the car:
- Converted bulbs in OBC to LED's (stupid design)
- Converted interior and trunk lights to LED
- Complete head job
- Timing belt/water pump job
- Tune up (plugs, injectors, sea foam, oil change, coolant flush, o2 sensor, vacuum lines)
- Replaced most bulbs
- Fixed ridiculous wiring PO's mechanics had done to get bulbs working
- Repaired poor wiring on Aux fan for condenser
- Replaced faulty fuel pump that got gunked up after intake screen fell off in tank
- Repainted rocker panels and rear valence black (Low Gloss Duplicolor)
- Fixed rear top not opening/closing. Had to notch and move the motor because the gear teeth had been very slightly stripped on the motor. Moving it closer to the cog fixed the issue.
- Pulled and refreshed hood heat shield. Also reglued it to the hood so that I can touch up my intake mani where it rubbed the white paint off.
- Replaced hood shock with one that won't drop the hood on my head.
- Replaced windshield washer reservoir and pump. Yay for functioning parts.
Things on "to do" list:
- New stereo, speakers, 10" sub, and amp install
- New pads & rotors
- New CA's and CAB's
- New springs/shocks (lower of course)
- MHW signals
- Smiley's and 5k HID setup
- Refresh cluster (odo gears, needle paint, etc)
- New top
- Fix tears in rear backseat
I'm sure that list will expand, but that's where it's at now. Below are pics of the latest work.
