Maybe because it's an m20 e34? Contact a lawyer, wtf, it's their property right? Maybe you'll end up with an m50 e34 instead :)

I meant even if they gave me as much as I was quoted (which is highly unlikely), I'd rather spend that money on another, undamaged car.
Their insurance company hasn't contacted me yet, but I already got 3 calls from 3 different managers (all women interestingly) assuring me that they will send someone out to estimate the repair cost. Now I'm waiting.

        And made some progress yesterday:
I put everything else back together, lined up the exhaust, and started filling up the cooling system -- until I heard coolant dripping on the ground. Then found the source of the leak: One of the bolts holding on 15 had snapped.
I ordered an air intake boot that I'll pick up after work (the one on the car has a few gashes in it), and I'll buy a bolt to fix the coolant connector, then if everything else is in order, I'll be ready take a test drive.

I'm also thinking I should get rid of the 2-year-old gas so I could fill up with fresh gas before smog check. Or does it matter? Do you guys have any input on how old gasoline affects emissions?
