Today has been the worst day ever.

Got my brakes fixed this morning. took it for inspection. Guy made me wait inside, he parked it near the dyno and let it idle for 30 minutes while he worked on other car. No airflow there. I came running out when I saw steam. Radiator is donesky. Had to tow it home. hopefully it is only the radiator.

    FML.

Somewhere in that process it melted some wires together, causing them to completely melt everywhere (due to ground) I believe it is the the wire and relay to the o2 sensor heater. Can someone confirm:

I am done with this shit. Need to get back to school work. Maybe as it cools I need to get some gear so I can ride my bike all winter long.

I got the car aligned today, got the windows and stuff fixed last night.

Turned out the 8mm wire was cut in the harness - reconnected it and everything started working as it should.

The car pulls like a beast, its a bit loud, but sounds tasty.

The new issue that has cropped up is that the brakes are acting weird. Basically no feedback on pedal, really sharp braking (tiny touch causes like 75% brakeing), and if i pump the brake pedal at a red light, the engine starts idleing weird and CEL comes on. Toughts?

I know I have not been updating this since I have not really managed to accomplish anything note worth in the last couple weeks. But here is the plan as I see it.

    Current problems:
    -Fix power windows/sunroof
--I still cant figure out why these electronics are on the fritz, everyrone keeps telling me to look at the starter, but I have and all those wires seem correct to me. I need to do more poking around, but basically i have no +12V on the inside of the car.
-Alignment (scheduled next Saturday early AM)
    -replace wheel stud (Friday PM)
-Cam Sensor oring to stop the oil leak - hopefully friday as well

Basically, once the car is running and driving correctly (and by the way it feels great driving from my garage to the front of the house :) ) I am gonna launch a tirade of cosmetic stuff.

    Near future:
-DME enclosure - thinking of building one out of brushed aluminum
    -M3 engine harness cover plastics
-Install AC compressor and new lines
    -finalize ride height.
    -redo interior carpet
--weld in new studs for seat
    --run real audio wires.
    -build bracket for PS res.

and as always there is much more, but this should carry us through winter break. and I have to do some work on the bike too at some point.

    Ok so mucho progress today.

    -Sorted out oil level sensor
    -sorted out ICV
    -sorted out coolant sensor

Things to do for the car to be road worthy
    -alignment
    -tighten exhaust (small leak somewhere)
    -get power windows working
    -replace broken wheel stud

Things that I need to do before I am happy with the swap
-build a box for DME and relays
    -get wiring cleaned up
-plug coolant to TB lines and clean up engine harness

Also I have sprung a small oil leak - not sure where from, but I need to get that sorted. Just happy to have her running strong finally.

I couldnt find any vacuum leaks. Car is throwing code P1262 - so I am going to replace the ICV. The maf is pointing towards the engine.

More Update but first I need wisdom.

    Problems:

    1.Temp dial doesnt work
-- Possible wrong wire attached to the sensor. Other options?
    2.Engine runs like shit
--now has 02 sensor, have tried several MAFs.
--works better with no MAF but not great and cant drive with no MAF
    --has exhaust
--AFR is >18 at idle, but around 14-15 under light load, and 13ish under hard gas
--check engine light is on but no code reader
    3. No power windows or sunroof
    --no power at those wires.
--possible K4/5 relays not getting power?
--wires next to old ECU (round pin plug) anything to do with it?
    4. Brakes seem super sensitive. Just grabs hard all of a sudden

Mostly I am concerned about the engine, I drove it home ok, but with the random reving and dieing its really hard to drive. Any clues where to start guys?

    I have tried :
    -swapping MAFS
    -installing o2 sensor
    -resetting DME

Anyway updates from today (and last couple of days):

    -got exhaust built.

I dont like this view of my car, but no exhaust = no driving in the city

    This looks shady.

found a leaky fuel line at the shop - replaced it before the welding started

    Y pipe is on

These are the pipes I got on summit. Total trash, I will be calling them on Monday.

    Cat is slip fitted :shady:

    whole bit in

Since there is a new rack with no alignment, the lugs worked loose, on stud snapped, had to wait for dad to get the tools to get it all retorqued

Here is a video of it running. Please help.

Shoot me a PM on price, this would be quite a while before it gets on the car, so I have not bought stuff yet, but if you letting it go super cheap, I would buy in.
