Scored this big heavy thing locally ;)


This isn't going to be a track car so I decided to stick with a dual mass setup. I already ordered the new clutch kit, awell as all the remaining hoses and bearings that I need. I only need 4 more major parts and I will be dropping this badboy in! If anyone has an e36 Dshaft local let me know. I also need a starter, C101 adapter and shorter selector rod.

Just when I thought everything was going as planned, I believe my fuse box crapped out on me. Went to UPS to drop off a package, came back into the car and it didn't start. No fuel and no spark. Thought to myself, wtf? Banged on the fuel pump and the car started but then quickly shutoff again. Limped it home after banging on the pump for a while and thought maybe the connector on the fuel pump is going bad. Took it out, cleaned it and shoved some copper wire in.
Car started but then died again so I knew that wasn't the problem.
I took my testlight out and started checking if power was coming to the pump. Here is the weird part. When I start to crank, I see power going to the pump for about a millisecond and then it cuts the power.
Many hours later, found out that if I bang on the fusebox the car would start, which also lead me to find out that if I leaned on the fusebox the car would start and stay running, once I took weight off the fusebox car would die I pulled the fusebox out and made sure the wires were all intact. Everything looked normal. I hate electrical gremlins:(

Got the short shift kit from BMA, also awating 320i shift linkage, some bolts and nuts and then will be dropping the motor in. Trying to drop this all in during spring break weekend.

nope, we get it mid april. You should order the kit from BMA, it's $95 shipped and comes with the z3 1.9 shifter, unless you specify you want the z4 2.5. It's really worth it.

Got my valve cover, front cover and timing cover back from the powdercoater, I love it:buttrock



Now to get it assembled.:D
