My friend and I have decided to make our own hardtop. Since their so hard to come across and if you do come across one their really pricey. Here is a couple pics of what it looks like today.

Are you doing this just for fun? Or is this a prototype intended to be mass produced? I wonder if there's enough verts out there to make this a viable business idea.
Can't wait to see the final product.
              Good luck!

wow you are nuts. You must really want a hardtop. You're in fresno, you don't need no stinkin hardtop on your vert. I am really curious to see how it turns out though. Never heard of anyone doing this before.

We're doing this for fun and I really want a hardtop. If this turns out good we're going to make a mold out of this and try to reproduce it a couple.

Do it...this is like "why didn't I think of that fucking snuggie". Except not nearly as easy or lucrative.

I'm in the East Bay, couple hours away. I have a 'vert. And a Hardtop. And a extra soft-top frame. And a new-in-the box extra hardtop rear window. If you need measurements, info, etc. let me know.
