Worked on it last night and got it all put back together. Got out there 1st thing this morning and she fired right up the very 1st try and idled smoother than ever.

Evidently the CPS was fine and the Bentley is wrong on what the resistance should be on that sensor. Second time this week I've found something wrong in it. :(

I think it had a massive Vacuum leak and that was the cause of the no crank. Didn't realize that a vacuum leak would cause the computer to not turn on the fuel pump and not give spark. I've got clamps on every possible hose you can think of now. :) Actually used a couple to keep the hose going to firewall from colapsing as well.

Thanks man. I've got 2 sets of twins, basically 4 kids under 5, so my only time to work on the car is after everyone has went to bed or early in the morning. Everything is finally getting there and I really hope to have this thing on the track over the next month or 2.

Edit: Sorry the reservoir is the stock one of a late model 325i car. Not sure on part#

First off, amazing build. Done right. I love those style 5's. Fucking beautiful.

Secondly, which brake fluid reservoir are you using with that MC? Part number?

Horrible design imo. Hoping to get this motor back together tonight. I work all weekend and need to get my suspension torn down and ready to be shipped. Got AST coilovers on the way. :)

Well I thought it was the CPS gone bad because the resistance was reading in the low 500's, but I got a new one and it reads exactley the same. Bentlety said it should be around 1280 ~10 ohms. Putting it back together tonight hopefully and redid a couple things.

The clip on this plug breaks pretty easy and its been suggested just to go ahead and break it and use a zip tie to hold it in.

Playing with different offsets. Starting to make me like this set up better. Also got all of the suspension sold. Should be taking it off over the next couple of weeks and going with the z3 AST 4100's with e30 camber plates.

Also have issue with not getting spark right now on the motor. Thought it was the fuel pump bump I jumped it last night and it still didn't turnover. Going to start eliminating possibilities with that next.

    Woah woah this is GREAT.

I wish those back wheels fit snuggly behind the fenders.

So much work into this thing, and it really shows!

Connect them to a battery and see if one pumps and the other doesn't? Not sure if it's as simple as one that runs and one that doesn't. I used a 12v bench supply to test my old one, which made a very faint hum, when I connected the new one to compare it blew the dust cap off the outlet.
