I dunno...I think if I had this car, making a road trip to show it off to everyone would be a FINE idea!‘Tis by the grace of God that my cars run!Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

That is a point that's hard to argue with:D... made a little more progress today, mostly stuff that will never be seen, but needs to be done, nonetheless... door lock cylinders, wiring and little bits and pieces, here and there. I did dye the carpet black over the weekend and I quick put it in today, for no better reason than I needed a place to store it, lol...

Amazing how something like carpet makes the car look so much closer to being done...

Thanks guys...
I used Rit dye, available at Wally World. I looked one evening on the web and there are not very many options available. I had looked into getting some Valeter's Pride from the UK, but you only need about 2 quarts to do the carpet, they only sell it by the gallon and getting it here would have been about $50 or so. The Rit was $3 a bottle and I used 2 bottles. Hopefully, it holds up well. Most of it gets covered up anyway and with a set of mats in there, it should get very little wear...

Could you describe the process you used? Im sure this will become a handy tool for r3v members future carpet issues. Possibly more pictures too? haha, it looks awesome! Thanks.1989 E30 Zinnoberrot Vert 325i OBD1 S52 turbo;IPComment
