Shouldn’t be long! Engine is going in the car tomorrow with a ZF 6-speed, and off to fabrication to get custom turbo manifold, intercooler, and piping, then back here so I can do all the wiring and other odds and ends.

I own a small Euro specialty shop in central PA, and the owner of the car now owns a body shop right up the street from me, so we’ve spent the past few months compiling parts and getting everything together for it. The car is beautiful in person and you can see the level of detail that Garey put into the build. It’s incredible, and it’s awesome to be able to be apart of this cars new build.

Hey all! Noticed no posts on this thread since almost 2 years ago.

To those curious, the E30 in this build thread is still around. It is currently sitting in my shop. The current owner has had it for years, and is having me swap the M60/62 hybrid out for a Honda K24 with a Precision 6466. He’d like it to be a little lighter in the front end and make more power, more reliably. It’s still just as clean inside and out, and still looks amazing. I’ll try to post some pics, but it seems this site has a size limit of 2 MB.

Well he had recently purchased a new home, and was in the middle of a beautiful and extensive renovation that he looked to be doing all himself. That along with the challenge of running his own shop; maybe life took priority over the car.

There likely wasn't a positive motivation for him to sell the car given the point he was at and the time, effort and cost involved.

    Hope he's doing well. :(
