You really should've replaced your timing components. Your cam gears and chain are shot and it looks like you've got plans to put even more stress on them. Also, when you had the bottom end apart it was an excellent time to replace your stock 10:1 pistons/rings with a CR more appropriate for turbo application! Just some thoughts.

I have timing components on the way. My cam gears are sooo pointy. There is a list of stuff I am doing before the turbo actually gets into its running stages. But one thing I really wish I did was to put different pistons and rings in for different compression ratios. Anyway, I will probably put the new timing components on and then roll with stock internals while I build up another engine to swap in.

Shit yeah, we can use the old cam sprockets for throwing stars. This is going to be a fun winter.

I'm thinking about running a thicker headgasket on my engine to reduce compression before I rebuild another with different pistons. Opinions? How much might this lower my compression from the stock 10:1 depending on the thickness of the headgasket and what is offered.

Weekend list.
-Redo mess under the intake.
-Change out all sensors, thermostat, etc.
-Mount the intercooler and fit the piping.
-Possibly mount the guages (any suggestions?)

What do you guys think about this? It doesn't say anything about the size of it. I am just scared of running 10:1 compression.

Also, I have redone all the coolant hoses and vacuum hoses as well. Also, changed out the thermostat and got the intercooler fitted. I will get pictures of that soon. My alternator took a crap, so I need to take care of that.

....also wish this wasn't my daily right now.
