    Stay Classy.

This will be a build progress for this years build on my E30.

The story behind the car was that after my first E30 burned down I was in search for one similar. So while I was in Afghanistan I found this car which was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. A lapisblau E30 coupe which are few and far between. The wheels are staying the same and so is the color of the car. This year I decided to redo my coilover set up and put my MTEC1 kit on. Last year I bought the mtech kit but for some reason decided against it.

    Plans:
I will post updates whenever things start coming in. Im stuck between what engine I want to put in it for right now, its either going to be a M50 out of an E36 for a nice daily or a M60 (v8) for a nice cruiser. I picked up a few pieces last year for a E36 M3 swap but decided against that as well. The interior will change, shooting for recaro 318is interior but will settle for some nice factory leather recaros. The car will be lowered another 1" this year. My goal is to have a nice daily cruiser with the classic euro look.

This was my old car that was a slow build process. I had no direction with it other than building something fun.

My new(er) car whenever I picked it up.

Here was my car last summer

    My mtech kit:

Last year I threw together some coilvers that really werent that good. This year Im upping the spring rates and actually building them correctly. Here is a comparrision from the stock strut vs the coilovers I built. The front should give me 7" adjustment, lowering the car about 5", if desired, and raising it almost 2" over factory. Ill be installing Bilstein heavy duty struts in these. The back I plan on making it where it will have 5" adjustment over stock height. Im never going to go this low, but its always nice to have the adjustments to play around and tweak it

This was fully lowered. I plan on rolling my fenders and running a 5mm spacer to clear the rear coilovers since im doing away with the ballon type spring.

This is what the coilovers look like against my wheels though. Im pleased with the out come of it. Forgot to mention that I also got my wheels powder coated over the winter.

Thanks Guys. Yea, whenever I found out I was going to be stationed in England I was happier then a little kid getting a free day out of school. After my buddy got his Mtec1 and I see it all the time the kit grew on me, so im gonna try my hand at it o hopefully it will go for the look Im trying to achieve.

In response to the tire size. 205/45/16 front and rear. Wheels are 16x17.5 and 16x9. I never really liked when people put type-A 16x9's all the way around, I just think the staggered look makes it look more aggressive.

About the mud flaps, if some of you all are serious about getting OEM BMW ones I could see how much they would be from the dealership b/c thats about the only place I could think of that would offer a true OEM one with all the factory hardware. Its a shame I have to get rid of them for my Mtec Kit but Ill put them on my e30 wagon.

Thanks guys, hopefully it will be nice. In 8 months it'll be 25 years old, which means the military will ship it back for free. So next year it should be in the states, which makes me happy.
