    Engine Assembly

Its funny I just realized how much I like puzzle games. I guess this why I'm enjoying this little project.

I never labelled the fastners individually when I took things apart - and since I bought this project in pieces its been even more of a challenge. I think I've actually managed to find all the appropriate bolts for all the right locations. :D

                    Not really an update

I've catched a bad case of the lazies. I'm so lazy when the weather turns nice. I just want to sit back and relax and enjoy the sunshine. I really wish I was doing it in my convertible.....but whatever here are some more pictures

They are OEM Corrado G60 steelies 15x6 et35 is my guess
                        - But you are talking about the Scudettos on the previous page those were 15x8 ET25 unfortunately they didn't fit well with my wilwood calipers. I also needed cash for an investment so they got sold a year ago. Too bad because those are very hard to find in North America.

More Progress this weekend. Took my time and in went the motor and tranny.

                        First Pedal Cluster:

^ This is a huge pain in the ass - it took longer to install this then the motor and transmission

Then my short shifter and UUC DSSR

Custom Hard line to the UUC stainless steel clutch line

Hooked up the hydraulic lines - check out how I ran it. I reversed the top one and ran the one on top of the pump on the rack and then around the engine mount. No bending required!

Here's my $272.16 shot peened, resurfaced, lightened and balanced early one piece flywheel:

                        And then motor installed:

small update, got a off my ass a bit and decided to start the air ride set up, here's a mock up of the front struts. I had a set of Brand New GAB Ultra Corrado Inserts sitting in my closet that I've bought on impulse a few years back and finally thought I'd put them to use

I didn't cut the strut housings because I'm using UVAIR Aero Sports and they are nearly the same diameter as the stock springs and reducing the strut housing would reduce the clearance for the wheels. By using 4" spacers under the shock and putting the perch at stock height I still figure it will be near a 5 inch drop completely aired out. I think that should be plenty. Hopefully everything works as planned

The shocks fully extended is 8". With the bag on, there is about 2" above the bag which gives it 6" of shock travel. The bag fully compressed is 4" high according to Universal Air's website. So if I've got this right the shock should never bottom out. :)
