Interesting, thanks for the tips. I've never done a valve cover before.

I wish haha, unfortunately no. I polished up the bare metal and then taped it all before painting the rest.

        SO FUCKING AWESOME.

But to support what Janderson is saying, I did one VC with an oven and one with a heat gun. Bother were painted the exact same way with the same paint and the one that had the head gun came out BEAUTIFUL.

Took your guys advice and did the heat gun method, turned out great! The paint went sort of softish and cooled nice and hard. I'm sure with some use it'll get a little better yet.

Painted the strut brace today, replaced the gaskets and reinstalled everything. Next up is picking up the valence this week and painting it, then perhaps the oil filter housing and power steering fluid reservoirs. Still a little too cold out to pull the collector box.

The plastic piece right above the valve cover looks terrible now haha, I'll probably just replace it.

That looks great, I wish the M/S5X motors had a valve cover that beautiful. Instead we get the gigantic plastic slab.

I actually prefer the B36 valve cover to the B38, it looks more functional and purposeful.

Like new! I'm very impressed with the work this shop does. No bondo or filler used either.

                  Awesome work!

                  Question: where is your radiator?

Thanks! It's tucked inside of the radiator support, right behind the front bumper.

                        More updates!

Got the red on valence painted, I'll do the black tomorrow. Glossssy.

                        And the first wheel started:

I love everything I see here! And that valance really looked like new after the shop was done with it, unbelievable!

                          one q: why those wheels?

Thanks! They're slightly oversized on the car but still fit fine with no rubbing, they're strong and I think they look pretty unique. AND I can still run a real tire on them. :D

Ahhh after a long week they're finished. Really pleased with the result!

The front valence still isn't done, when I went to put it on the car I realized it was a little bit too dark. Had to re-sand it and paint more.

                              Now:

Great work. Wheels are sexy. White wheels, red car is greatness.

                                Gorgeous car.

                                Equally good looking interior?
