So bringing up a dead thread but that CX Racing manifold looks like it puts the turbo nice and low. Did you have to bend or modify anything to get the waste gate and turbo to fit? Any weld issues? -
go for it! that was my logic exactly. the trunk lid is now going to be a part of my living room...thinking maybe a coffee table. set it upside down haha.Leave a comment:

Oh btw guys, crashed the fuck out my car drifting at summer jam. It was fun while it lasted. Stay tuned for Formula drift spec cage, jz powerplant, tube rear end, giant wing, and full composite wide body including the destroyed trunk/tail light area. As if i couldnt bastardize a chassis anymore...Leave a comment:

Yeah i did, it fits pretty good actually and sounds great. Deep and smooth but not extremely loud. You get what you pay for though, its not the best but it worked. I removed the shitty baffle and used it as a wastegate dump tubeLeave a comment:

Hey, man...been reading your build and following you for a while. Question about your cx racing kit, though.
Did you get the exhaust with the cx racing turbo kit? If so...how did the like the feel of it? Were there any fitment issues when you had the AWD system? I'd probably go magnaflow rather than that fart-can, but still really curious about getting an exhaust that's not going to cost me an arm and a leg to make up here in AK.
Thanks and awesome build, friend. Really digging the progress.Leave a comment:

Damn how have I missed this thread for over a year!?
Reading up to it, I right away said to myself oh shit this is bad(your breather hose going to the intake elbow) and wanted to say something, but lol 2011. Damn! Would of saved you a headache or two since I saw how you later pressurized the system!!:

But good stuff dude. I love seeing this type of progression!

Thanks guys! Yes still RWD and likely staying that way. I will be doing a right up for people that are considering building bmw drift cars and what they should know about set up and development of their car. A lot of people cut the wrong corners and spend too much time/money building unnecessary aspects of their drift car so id like to shed some light on to the potential that bmws have as drift chassis. This write up will also follow the resurrection of my e34 m5!

Got new wheels from my buddy erich "E-Rich" theyre F 17x8.25 +30 3/4" spacer R 17x9.75 +30 no spacer. They fit way better than the rotas but now i have drift spares haha. Whats funny is he had to run a 10mm spacer in the rear to clear his strut, the ix doesnt need that. And boy am i filling up those wheel wells!
Also did arp head studs last week and am fuckin around with other little things now that i dont drive the car every day. New daily is a 78 f150 custom on 15x10" welds wanna say like 6+" back spacing. The lips are massive!
