Went to start it tonight. Not getting any spark....swapped cps and cid. Hoping to god its not my megasquirt? Anyone know how to test if my megasquirt is sending spark signal? Gonna swap a different cps in tomorrow, although the one that im using now is the one that was already in the car.

Pulled the front half shafts and separated the outer cv joint and capped the stub so grease doesnt fly out. Lays Stax lids work perfect. Removed the front diff and driveshaft. Removed t case. And welded up a tranny bracket that used some existing mounts. Had to make sure the drive shaft was inline with the tranny. And i had the already one piece driveshaft retubed longer and bigger. And Bam! rwd....bring on the hatehatehatehate

I actually started sliding the car before i rwd swapped it. It was a handfull to say the least. But such a rad feelin when you stand on the throttle while ur at full lock and the awd pulls you right back around! But im excited to get some more rwd action, the car was already feeling awesome before i tore down the old motor.

Hmm. I think my oil pressure maxed around 70psi and idling, got around 10psi. I'll prob use my original block unless something "bad" happens. I know of a couple spares if necc in my town. I'm looking forward to the completion of this build. Tests the capabilities of the drivetrain, I'm still wondering if I should sell to get easy rwd tail out fun or pep up th ix more and do it with all of em spinning.

I as with the others am intrigued about being able to use a non ix block. This is truely a game changer. Could you maybe do a quick breakdown of what you really need to do to accomplish this? Thanks.
Well ive never had any issues with the ps delete. Its a bitch with all that rubber in parking lots. But i like the feel much more for drifting...and just cornering in general. Honestly oring+stock hg= win. That simple. I had to get an mls to compensate for the block being decked.

And with your motor build: dont use a rwd block. Mine held up fine until some other shit failed, but youll have low oil pressure at idle and potentially high oil press at high revs. My gauge reads like 50+psi. Not sure how that compares to a normal/stock m20. The ix oil pump has an integrated oil press relief valve, that doesnt quite line up with where the rwd relief valve goes. If you use a rwd block, itll work but you wont get more than a couple years out of it if youre boosted.

Other than bending the dipstick tube to fit around the motor mounts, all you have to do is swap intermediate shafts cause the ix oil pump runs the opposite direction of a rwd m20.

Thanks man! Gonna break it in at 8lbs. Then retune at 15lbs. It will boost creep to about 20 though....thats as much as i want to push on the stock pistons.

You should! If youre really bored, patient, have uncontrollable urges to be a gangster, and/or are rich. My power/drive train has more money into it than i paid for the car in pristine cond.

Im not sure what you mean by fire ring? But no oring-ing was done. Just metal hg, i will be getting a groove-o-matic soon though so i can oring the next block with a stock hg. I didnt go that route this time because the block was decked so i had to bring that compression back down to a boostable zone, and then some. Sittin about 8.0:1 ;)

Heres a pic from the weekend. Im only a few more days away from having everything ready for the first start.
