I am dropping off my block/head tomorrow to get put together! Finally!! It will be done by the time I get back in town next week so I will post some pictures up then!
Here are some other goodies I have recently acquired..

PAC 1523 Valve springs & PAC R442 TI retainers
More to come in the near future!Last edited by xAZxE30x; 06-26-2013, 01:09 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

not really much of an update. but.
got my frenchies in the other day.. now I just need some new fogs with some laminex and I will be good to go
the previous owner had some hack install some janky alarm so got rid of all the crap I did not need, which was everything seen here for the most part
I was in the process of putting a new pan on the m20 this past weeked and realized I left my torx at home so couldnt get it finished up. Tomorrow I am going to get the new pan installed and then the engine is all ready to drop into the car. This is just a stock m20 for now. Still working on the turbo m20.. its mostly ready to go just need to figure out my valve spring issue and then it is all ready. I am just dying to drive this thing so a regular m20 will do just fine for now, especially since my 318i blew up and sold off I need a car!Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I got the interior all cleaned out today finally, misc tools, hardware, trash, radiator, spare lights, half an m20.. etc! I was able to finally get all the wiring tucked away and nice and neat. I put a seat in it for the first time since 2009.... :(:D
got my suede mtech2 wheel in place :D
woot! a seat! haha
and almost got the front end all finished up! needs a grille! getting the old clips off the valence was a real bitch! I said fuck it on the last one, which is why it sags kinda.. do it later
that is all for now.. hopefully have some suspension related updates soon!Last edited by xAZxE30x; 03-14-2016, 05:30 PM.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Picked them up! Very happy with Juniors work. Since I lost one of the supplied perches from GC he made a new one and it's almost identical. No short cuts taken or anything
Now I just have to grab my spindles from my dads garage, and then grab my camber plates from Mitches shop
Looking like tomorrow I'll have pics of it on the ground!
What do you guys recommend for paint? Just looking to paint over the bare metal so it doesn't rust
Thanks for looking!Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Thanks for bumping this :)
I will be building up an m20 this winter for a turbo application. I may have to refer to this thread and ask some questions.
As for the strut housing, rustoleum works well for suspension components, from my experience. I have also had housings powdercoated in the pas,t but that's if its completely torn down.

This should help clear up the shock fitment issue
here is the spacer that sits around the top of the insert body and sits inside of the collar nut
here is how it goes inside of the collar nut
here is the space between the insert and the strut tube.. the bottom spacer fills the gap, due to the shorter insert, and then this top spacer keeps the insert nice and snug when you lock down the collar nut
hopefully this helps!Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
