Im trying to decide whether I want to fill and drill my wheels or to go 5 lug swap. I have heard conflicting report on this stuff. As for parts available, I can get my hands on e36 m3 front and ti rears. I think it would be cheaper to do the fill and drill so I can save money for engine parts and coilovers. Any opinions on the two routes?

Update: Recently got my harness converted at MMW in Lawrenceville. Dave does great work, I also got a bosch water pump, aluminum tstat housing, tstat, and trans brace while I was there. Will be returning soon to get most of the rest of the parts that I need. Also pulled the front vanos unit off to clean it up some and to put on a new gasket. Lastly, I took my valve cover over to a local powder coater to get it blasted and coated, all for the whopping price of 0 dollars. Hope to have this all done by the time spring break roles around in a couple of weeks.

Edit: Also thanks to Evan for the shop tour and labeling the harness.

More progress today with pics! Cleaning up the harness and routing the wires. Decided to use cloth tape/hockey tape to wrap the wires when I saw it on Janderson's build. Seems to work very well. Also cleaning up some other parts and painting to make it look nice.

              Harness all cleaned up:

an my work place in the basement, its pretty cramped since I haven't been able to move my m20 to somewhere else.

Small update: Finally got the engine off the stand so its been off for about a month now. Next thing to do is get the few remaining driveline parts and the mounts for trans and engine and then it can be put in the car.

Quick question though for someone who can answer, I am trying to find out what clutch to use in my combo. I'm using the g260 and I currently have my m20 flywheel and starter as well as my m50 dual mass flywheel (I think) and starter. My question is which one I should use and what clutch and throw out bearing combo should I buy? Already completed trans maintenance with new seals and have g260 pilot bearing to put in as well.

Been quite a while since I've updated this. I'm always short on money and time because of college but I finally got some shit done recently.

This has been taking up a lot of my time as well.

But I got the flywheel surfaced and clearanced and installed the clutch.

While it warmed up outside, I got to painting the engine bay. Took some notes from Janderson's build and went with bed liner. Turned out really well.

Got my Condor mounts and a power steering delete

Dropping it in was kind of a pain in the ass cause I don't think I set my load leveler up right.

But it's sitting good now and I just have to get a few little things for it to be complete.

Been busy getting it all fixed up so this is the first update in a long time but I will have a few over the coming days hopefully.

This was after I got the exhaust done but I ran in to trouble on the way home. Brakes started seizing up and I ended up replacing front calipers and pads but it turned out to be brake booster push rod length being to long.

Got it fixed, put it back together and its been running great. Still need to do emissions, tidy some things up, and fix a vanos crush washer oil leak.

Most recently got my 42 Draft Design adapters for my Style 5s and while they are getting worked on, I tried out a set of wheels I had laying around from a junkyard E34. Enkei EK98 16x7 et0. Would make a pretty gnarly track setup though.

I'll have some more updates soon.

It'd be an interesting swap, thats for sure. Seems like it'd be a too tall though.

So I have run into an issue with the e30. It seems I have a steady battery drain. I hooked my multimeter up to it to check the amp draw and it was at .11mA but I believe I may have had it hooked up wrong since it did not drop after going through every single fuse.

Anyone else have any input on some ideas? I'd really like to solve this problem so I don't have to constantly charge/ jump my car every single day.
