happened again! vented the vc to atmosphere and plugged the tb hose. missed 5th and kicked it to like 5k in 3rd. damn short shifter. wasnt even pulling hard.
the seal on the oil filter failed. i tucked it back in the groove and re-installed it tighter. the good new is the oil light didnt come on till it blew again. bad news is i still have high oil pressure right?

So pressure from the intake that dumps in here would not pressurize the crankcase..... How the HELL do you figure that? And if it doesn't have any passage from the intake to the drain tube? how does the oil get back in there from intake to crankcase then? Uh huh....

because it doesn't go into the fucking intake manifold. It goes into a little passage that connects into the head. There is no contact between that tube and the insides of the intake.
how many M20 heads and intake manifolds have you taken apart? none? shut up then. :D
look dead center in the manifold. see that hole? underneath is where the tube connects. The hole goes to the head. There is no passage into the intake.

it's likely it was already blown from your earlier mistake. You might have some other bad seals now too.. but it would also be a good idea to get an oil pressure gauge, replace the filter and see what's going on.
