Exhaust is in and took her for a spin, everything seems to be okay....for now! I still haven't transferred the o2 sensor from my old exhaust to the new yet so hopefully once that is in and there isn't a big hole in the side, it will be a little quieter. lol.

Anyone with headers notice the temperature in the engine bay to be significantly warmer? Or maybe I just haven't opened it up RIGHT after taking it for a drive to check on things before or maybe I am just crazy. Felt really warm though.

    Also did my tranny mounts:

and added some MD flag decals to my roundels:

Alright so this is the next thing in progress.... i head swap. Looking forward to having a 327i. Just ordered some parts from Blunt today and placing some other orders in the coming weeks. Hopefully, I will have everything by the 25th so I can roll up to F34R's BBQ and knock all the work out in one weekend.

For the 327i here is what I know I need, let me know if I am missing anything.
-Head, ECU, Intake Manifold, TB, ICV, FPR, Wiring Harness with all the sensors and everything, Fuel Injectors, and Alternator

      And basic maintenance stuff, obviously

Started getting stuff in for 327i swap!

        m50 injectors:

All the fun stuff from blunt (head gaskets, head bolts, spark plugs, timing belt stuff, etc):

and I got my cup holders!

I also got ZHP shift knob and Z3 Shift lever. Have to order some new bushings and what not from blunt and do that soon. (Sometime this fall probably, after I finish 327i)

I have dumps and the engine-bay temps are significantly warmer, do you still have the heat shields installed again? They make a big difference in heat extraction, heat seems to pool in the transmission tunnel otherwise

                oh, and sweet super eta!

Been awhile since I posted in here. I was stumped with electrical problem for awhile. After swapping out my alternator and messing with some wires to my headunit it seems all is well again! yay!

I also had a couple blown fuses as a result from a short, went ahead and just replaced them all. Looks so organized! haha.

Today, I picked up new wheels and tires from Nick (ubernasty). I am not completely sold on the black on black, but hopefully it will grow on me. If not, I can always respray them.

My interior is almost completely finished. I still have a ZHP shift knob and houndstooth shift boot to install, but I am waiting to until I install my z3 lever for that, waiting on my bushing and what not to come (They were supposed to come today, but the stupid guy didn't leave the package even though I left a note on the door telling him to). Oh well. Hopefully next weekend.

                  Some day dreaming.

Not the color or the wheels I'd choose, but still sexxxxy.

Ran out of money so all my stuff for the 327i swap is kind of just sitting around. Hopefully I get this 2nd job next week so I can get that back on track. Tomorrow, I am picking up a new O2 sensor and passenger doors from Joe (illfornoreason). I still have to do my plastic rear bumper swap and need to find a good condition plastic front/late model valance and a is lip. But things are finally coming together! When it is all finished it will be definitely time to party :drink:

Wow, had an exciting past couple of weeks. On 10/16 I took my car to test everything out and I don't know exactly what happened, but my driver side wheel flew off of the car. It was one of the craziest things I have ever seen. Felt like I was in a movie.

Had damage to rotor and dust shield and luckily that was it beside some scratches on the wheel.

Got it fixed and it sat for about a week. Went to drive it and the battery was dead again.

Quick charge overnight and was good as new again. I have been trying to make it a point to go down and start the car for at least a little bit every day even though I normally only drive it on the weekends.

Last week I started to have white smoke come out of my exhaust. One night it was so bad it was all I could see in my rear view mirror. I feared I had a blown head gasket, because I also noticed my coolant temp. gauge stopped working (no way to tell if I am overheating - at least I don't think so?). Anyway, did an oil change yesterday and my oil was black so that was good news! Also, it wasn't smoking at all with the new oil! So that made it really good news.

You guys have any ideas on why the coolant temp. gauge isn't working? If anyone from the Baltimore area wants to come help me work on it, it would be much obliged. I am loosing my motivation working alone, plus always nice to have a second set of eyes and someone to bounce ideas off of since I am just a noob and not a mechanic.
