been a while since I have updated this thread, so Its time to bring it back up to date.

Replaced the Sanden compressor with a factory bosch unit that I converted the seals to 134a, along with the lines to match. The sanden unit was leaking at the lines, and also the expansion valve was rotted shut, causing very high head pressures at idle, and high pressure cutoff at anything higher. System now works 4.0 :)

Got the stereo installed with a proper subwoofer, and have been enjoying the tunes.

Took the car through emissions today, and passed with flying colors. Car now sports the ZITRONE plate off my former ETA (sold it on saturday).

Other than that, its been having the wheels driven off of it.

      ok, update time again...

Installed the late model valance that I picked up a week or so ago. Spray bombed it blue (I had it left over from a motorcycle respray I did a few years back). Its close, but not that close. you can see it if you really want to. I kept the diving boards, so this would be the front end that would be on an 88 (boards and late valance) this works out because it turns out my bumper is off an 88iX, and has the tow point in the center of the bumper behind the front plate (WINNING)

I also fixed some wiring on the harness that got into a fight with the aux fan and lost... shit happens I guess

I still need to get new late model fogs, and new grommets for the brake ducts, along with the trim piece that covers the oil cooler, and of course a lip for it (volvo anyone???)

Decided it was time to go after the suspension in my Cabbie. after treating it to a 24v swap in August, and a new top last month, I figured that not riding like a buckboard wagon would be a good thing. I ordered the parts on the 2nd of this month, and after some tribulations in shipping finally got the springs in on Weds, Shocks and struts arrived this morning, after a grand tour of North America (FUCK FEDEX...)

Nothing really super special about the setup, KYB front and rear, with H&R Cabrio springs all around.

here are some before and after shots of the car:
          Before:

          Quick pic of the goods:

          And after:

actual numbers at this point are a bit off, as the suspension has NOT settled in yet, specs are for a 1.3 inch front, .75 rear drop. either that, or my old springs were abgefuked.
Front Left Before: 14.5 after: 13.625
Front Right Before: 14.25 after: 13.5
Rear Left Before: 12.5 after: 12.625
Rear Right Before: 12.5 After: 12.625
All spring pads and buffers are still in place. So far, I love how the car rides. definite improvement over the half blown out set of struts/shocks on the car. Ride is not too harsh, my ass does not feel every grain of dust on the road, so the DD aspect should not be affected.
